Buenos Aires, December 11 (NA) – Racing and Estudiantes will play the grand final of the 2025 Clausura Tournament this Saturday at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades, and the club's leadership has taken a key measure so that thousands of fans do not miss the event: it will open the Cilindro de Avellaneda to broadcast the match on a giant screen.
The final will be played at 21:00, and according to the Argentine News Agency, access to the stadium will be free for both members and non-members, pending the final details of access and locations to be defined.
The logistics for traveling to Santiago del Estero proved to be practically impossible: the scorching heat forecast for the weekend, the lack of available accommodation, and the absence of flights left the province overwhelmed, also due to other events such as the FIH Pro League Hockey.
Nevertheless, Racing sold out its 15,000 allocated tickets in 35 minutes and organized seven charter flights and about 40 buses, but demand far exceeded supply, and thousands of supporters could not secure a spot for the final.
In this situation, the club decided to replicate the initiative it had taken on November 23, when it opened the Cilindro for fans to follow the conquest of the Copa Libertadores title.
In case they are crowned champions, Racing will postpone the start of their vacations, as on December 20 they must play the Trofeo de Campeones against Platense.
This time, the gathering promises to be massive: Avellaneda will once again be dyed sky blue and white with music, flags, and entire families seeking to live through another historic day together, dreaming of a new title.
Meanwhile, the squad led by Gustavo Costas will travel on Friday afternoon to Santiago del Estero to concentrate for the decisive match.
